In an action alleging legal malpractice, tortious interference with contract, fraud and negligent misrepresentation, Gallardo Levin Reiter & Rogers obtained summary judgment in favor of its client, the seller’s attorney in a disputed real estate transaction. Plaintiffs unsuccessfully sought to conclude the transaction, and subsequently claimed that Gallardo Levin Reiter & Rogers‘ client had tortiously interfered with their contract. The Kings County Supreme Court agreed with Gallardo Levin Reiter & Rogers‘ arguments that plaintiffs’ various causes of action were inapplicable to Gallardo Levin Reiter & Rogers‘ client and that plaintiffs were unable to demonstrate that they were ready, willing, or able to purchase the property. The Court denied plaintiffs’ motion for summary judgment and dismissed all claims and cross-claims asserted against Gallardo Levin Reiter & Rogers‘ client. The case was handled by Gallardo Levin Reiter & Rogers Partners, Gary Petropoulos and Christopher Rogers.
