Michele R. Levin

Ms. Levin is an accomplished litigator with more than two decades of experience defending complex civil litigation matters, including professional liability, general liability, and Labor Law claims. Her practice includes the defense of physicians, dentists, podiatrists, optometrists, and other medical professionals, as well as health care facilities, nursing homes, and home health care agencies. She was selected to serve as lead defense counsel for a national medical provider in a multi-district litigation matter. Her practice also includes the defense of property owners and contractors in general liability, Labor Law, and catastrophic injury claims.

Recognized for her meticulous attention to detail, strategic judgment, and unwavering commitment to her clients, Ms. Levin has built a distinguished record of success over more than two decades of practice. She has obtained numerous pre-trial dismissals, favorable jury verdicts, and significant appellate victories. Drawing on her extensive litigation experience, she also consults with her health care clients on risk management and litigation-avoidance strategies. Ms. Levin’s professional achievements have earned significant recognition within the legal community. Ms. Levin has been selected as a Super Lawyer since 2021 and was named a Top 50 Metro Women Super Lawyer, distinctions awarded to only a small percentage of attorneys based on peer recognition and professional accomplishment. She also holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest distinction for legal ability and ethical standards. Hofstra University School of Law honored Ms. Levin with its Outstanding Women in Law Award.

In addition to her practice, Ms. Levin authors professional articles and lectures on issues related to professional liability defense and risk management. Ms. Levin is an active member of the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute.

Ms. Levin graduated cum laude from Binghamton University in 1993 and earned her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law in 1996, where she served as a member of the Labor Law Journal and graduated with Dean’s List distinction. She is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of New York as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
